Elne is an archaic English form of Ellen. It means strength, courage and sometimes zeal. I used it to describe myself and my artwork.
Born Ellen Claire Montgomery, I was always artistic, being punished as a child for the artwork I left on my parent's wall. Growing up I always love art and crafts in school and at summer camp. I spent 2 years as a drawing major at Maryland Institute College of Art and have worked in multiple media.
My mother taught me to sew and I have created costumes that has been entered at CostumeCon and Balticon. From my father, I learn to draw and work in 3-D. It is in jewelry, however, that I feel I have found the right medium for my creative talents.
